DIGITAL ART COMPETITION

I. Submission Deadline: 5:00 PM Philippine time, 15 October 2021

II.Guidelines:

  1. The ICFAS 2021 Digital Art Competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students.
  2. Only original individual entries will be accepted, and must be created using digital technology with emphasis on the following: dynamic painting, 2D or 3D computer graphics, digital collage, 2D or 3D digital painting, manual vector drawing, integrated art, or raster painting.
  3. Format:
    • a. Orientation: Portrait or landscape
    • b. File type: .jpg or .jpeg
    • c. Aspect ratio: 16:9 (1920 x 1080)
    • d. Image resolution: 300 dpi.
  4. Only one entry per student will be allowed. Please use the ICFAS 6-AFSSRN F1 Digital Art Entry Submission Form.
  5. A title and a description of not more than 150 words should be provided.
  6. Entries should be submitted via email to icfasafssrn2021@gmail.com with the following format:
      1. a. Filename: Digital Art Competition_LASTNAME (e.g. Digital Art Competition_CRUZ)
      2. b. Email subject: ICFAS 6 DIGITAL ART COMPETITION
  7. Submission of an entry would also mean participation in the Joint International Conference ICFAS 6 and AFSSRN F1. Please ensure that registration is made on or before October 30, 2021.(Registration fee for students is Php 500.00 and Php 1,000.00 for professionals.)
  8. Inclusion of entry description in the Book of Abstracts and in the Conference Program will require registration to the conference.
  9. Entries to the  digital artwork competition  will be made available for viewing during duration of the joint conference.

III. Judging Criteria

The submitted digital artwork will be assessed by a panel of judges composed of artists, art enthusiasts, and relevant experts. The decision of the judges will be final.

  • Adherence to the theme           40%
  • Originality                                    30%
  • Overall look and impact            30%
  •                                                      100%

IV. Informed Consent and Statement of Originality

By submitting an entry to the 2021 ICFAS 6 and AFSSRN F1 Digital Art Competition the contestant gives consent to the organizers to publish his/her name, affiliation, title and entry description, and the actual entry in the joint conference and other related websites, social and mainstream media,  conference e-publication and printed materials, and other venues.

Further, the participant certifies that the submitted material is an outcome of an original work, has not been submitted previously for consideration in other competitions, or has not been previously published, does not contain materials or portions written or created by another individual except in portions where acknowledgement and/or attributions have been made.

V. Announcement of Winners

Winners will be announced during the Closing Ceremony on 26 November 2021.

VI. Prizes

Three entries will be declared as winners:

  •  1st Place  Php 8,000*
  •  2nd Place Php 5,000*
  •  3rd Place Php 3,000*
  •  
    *or equivalent in USD during the conference

e-Certificate of Recognition will be given to the three major winners.
