The competition is open for both local and international teams of graduate and undergraduate students (3 to 5 members aged 18 years old and above, and a faculty mentor).
Submit an abstract of your idea related to the theme of the competition on or before 30 August 2021 (closes at 23:59, The Philippines time, GMT+8). Use the abstract submission portal on the website.

Abstracts must be in English — the official language of the forum. Use only one page, Standard A4 paper (portrait). Margin should be set at 1 inch throughout (Top/bottom/left/right).
The abstract should be saved and submitted in MS Word format. The filename should be in this format: Fishing for Solution_surname of corresponding author_first three words of the abstract title
The Competition Committee will assess abstracts on the basis of technical merit and relevance to the competition theme. The decision of the Competition Committee is final and non-negotiable.
Those who have submitted abstract for the Fishing for Solution Competition will be notified as to whether their abstract has been accepted or not on 15 September 2021.
Authors of accepted abstracts for the Fishing for Solution Competition agree to submit to the conference organizer a 15-min pre-recorded video and script of their presentation by 05 November 2021. Guidelines on video and script submission will be sent to the authors of accepted abstracts.
Team members of accepted entries for the competition should register in the conference not later than 30 October 2021.This is needed for the inclusion of the abstract in the Book of Abstracts and in the Conference Program.
Entries in the form of video presentation to the Fishing for Solution Competition will be made available for viewing during the duration of the joint conference.
Submission of entries for Fishing for Solution competition grant permission to the organizers ofthe Joint International Conference of the Sixth International Conference for Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences (ICFAS 6) & Asian Fisheries Social Science Research Network Forum One (AFSSRN F1) to use the video and images generated from such video in joint conference and other related websites, social and mainstream media, conference e-publication and printed materials, and other venues deemed necessary by the organizer.
The submitted abstracts, videos, and scripts will be assessed by a panel of three judges on 06-10 November 2021. The top 10 entries will qualify for a Q&A session via Zoom scheduled on 15 November 2021. The decision of the judges will be final.
The judging criteria are as follows:
Clarity of the problem presented 25%
Clear process of the solution 25%
Work-ability of the solutions presented 25%
Potential impact of the proposed solution when implemented 25%
Winners will be announced during the Closing Ceremony on 26 November 2021.
Three entries will be declared as winners:

e-Certificate of Recognition will be given to the three major winners and finalists, and their faculty advisers.
e-Certificate of Participation will be given to all competing entries.
